2012 PILF Auction
The Annual Auction brings the law school community together for an evening of fun. Deans and Professors run the bidding and donate their valuable time for many of the auction items. In addition, local businesses and student community members supply valuable gift certificates and interactive opportunities.
This year's auction will be hosted on March 8, 2012, as follows:

Outer Banks Vacation Get Away. One-week stay in late August at Dean Farmer's house on the Outer Banks, North Carolina. The house sleeps 6 - 8 people. Minimum bid: $500. Donated by Dean John Farmer.
A Night with the Dean! Bowling and beers with Dean John Farmer for 2 teams of 4 people. Minimum Bid: $150 Donated by Dean John Farmer.
Dinner with Deutsch. Professor Deutsch invites up to 4 lucky winners to enjoy dinner with him in the famed Ironbound District, renowned for its Portuguese and Spanish cuisine. Donated by Professor Stuart Deutsch.
Deans Doin’ Dim Sum - Come join Deans Chen and Rossner at Dean Chen’s house as they prepare [With your help] dinner with an Asian flair for up to 15 people. Acclaimed PILF auctioneer and dinner hosts John and Melody Kettle will join the fun.
Dinner for a group of students with Professor Alan Hyde at a location to be determined.
Summer in Style! Vacation home in Southampton over 4th of July or Labor Day! House is a 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath ranch with deck and outdoor shower in a private waterfront community about 5 miles north of Village of Southampton and ocean beaches. A Bicycle Built for Six. It wouldn’t be a PILF auction without Professor Tractenberg’s personally-led bicycle tour and lunch for 6! Your trip will be held in the Hamptons or Western N.J., with exact date, time, and location to be determined. Minimum Bid: $150. Donated by Professor Paul Tractenberg.
Bird Watching in Central Park. Learn more about the local birds in Central Park and enjoy coffee and sweets with Profs. Hyman and Gold. For up to ten people. Minimum Bid: $100. Donated by Professor Hyman and Professor Gold.
Your Choice for a Piece of History. A copy of the seminal Opinion, Roe v. Wade, and Appellants’ Brief autographed by Roe’s attorney, Sarah Weddington, with a personal note to the winning bidder AND a signed copy of Sarah Weddington's autobiography, A Question of Choice. Minimum Bid: $50. Donated by Professor Barbra Hoffman.
Dinner with the Rothmans! Cooking lessons and the resulting dinner for up to six students with Sarah Bennett and her professional chef husband, and Dean Rothman and his wife, in the Rothmans' industrial kitchen in Princeton. Minimum Bid: $125. Donated by Assistant Dean Andy Rothman and Sarah Bennett.
Yankees - Redsocks! Up to six students can join Professors Bell and Dennis at a bar in Manhattan to watch the Yankees - Redsocks games on April 20th or 22nd. Donated by Professors Donna Dennis and Carlos Bell.
Four students can enjoy a brunch with Professor Askin and will receive a copy of his memoir, "Defending Rights." Donated by Professor Frank Askin.
